Sauk Valley Bank Secures $20,000 Relief Grant for Area Nonprofit Organizations

STERLING, IL., May. 15, 2020 – Sauk Valley Bank, a leading locally-owned community bank, announced today that it has secured a $20,000 relief grant through the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago’s COVID-19 Relief Program for ten area nonprofit organizations: The Sauk Valley Food Bank, Tri-County Opportunity Council, United Way of Whiteside County, United Way of Lee County, YMCA of Sterling, YMCA of Dixon, YWCA of Sterling, NICIL— Northwestern Illinois Center for Independent Living, St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry, and Sterling Rock Falls Day Care.

The Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago’s COVID-19 Relief Program provides FHLBank Chicago member and associate member financial institutions with access to acquire a grant of up to $20,000 to assist nonprofit organizations within their communities that have been directly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
