Sauk Valley Bank Announces the Appointment of Todd Dail as New Board Member

STERLING, IL., Nov. 17, 2020 – Sauk Valley Bank, a leading locally-owned community bank, is pleased to announce the addition of Todd Dail to the company’s Board of Directors. Todd brings more than 20 years of farming and hog production experience, in addition to a background in banking as an Ag Loan Analyst.

Growing up on the family farm in Erie and raising pigs as one of his FFA projects, contributed to Todd receiving his state FFA degree. Following high school, Todd served in the Navy for 5 years before obtaining his degree in agricultural finance from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. After working a few years in banking, Todd returned to his family farm with his dad, Max, to begin their father-son pork production team, which he still continues to operate.

Todd has served as a past president of the Illinois Pork Producers Association (IPPA) and served three terms on the IPPA board, where he served six years as an At-Large Director. He was previously appointed as the President-Elect for two years and has also been Chairman of its Marketing Committee and Industry Services Committee. Todd has been active as a delegate to the National Pork Forum and has been on several legislative trips to Washington D.C. He is a 2008 graduate of the National Pork Board Pork Leadership Academy (PLA), acted as a representative for the Sauk Valley Co-op on the Mid-West Co-op board of directors and has been active on the Council of Best Management Practices, which promotes nutrient stewardship and voluntary agricultural best management practices.

“We are delighted to welcome Todd as the newest member of our Board of Directors,” said Dirk Meminger, President and CEO. “Todd’s extensive background in agricultural operations paired with his career experiences in the financial sector will greatly aid in our future success. We’ve added widespread experience to our board with two new members this past year and we’re excited by the collective expertise the board will bring to Sauk Valley Bank, while positioning us for long-term growth and profitability.”
