Coronavirus (COVID -19): An update to our customers

With Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s issuance of an updated executive order today, the mandatory masking in most indoor settings in the state has officially ended. Therefore, in accordance with this order, visitors will no longer be required to wear masks inside of our locations effective Monday, February 28, 2022. 

We remain focused on keeping our employees and communities healthy and are committed to providing responsive service to meet the needs of our customers.

Reopening Our Branch Lobbies
Prepare for your safe branch visit.

Thank you for your patience as we’ve worked together to rely on alternative ways to serve your banking needs. At this time, we are safely welcoming you back into our lobbies. Sauk Valley Bank has set a date of Tuesday, February 16, 2021 to reopen our lobbies again to our customers.

Now, in addition to drive-thru, ATM, and online, you may again bank inside any of our branch locations. Each of our branches has procedures in place for your safety and the safety of our employees.

As we continue to face the impact of the coronavirus together, your safety and well-being is our number one concern, for that reason, we are reopening lobbies carefully and in accordance with the guidelines established by local, state, and federal health officials regarding COVID-19.

What to Expect on Your Branch Visit

  1. Follow social distancing markers. Please follow the floor guides when standing in line to help us maintain the 6 ft social distancing.
  2. Masks Required. SVB employees will be wearing masks and we ask that you do the same.
  3. Plexiglass Dividers. Plexiglass dividers will be set-up at each of our teller stations and financial service representatives’ desks.
  4. Keeping high touch surfaces clean.  After every customer interaction SVB team members serving customers will disinfect hard surfaces touched during the visit after the customer leaves. This includes sanitizing all drive up canisters between each customer use. 
  5. Use of hand sanitizer.  Hand sanitizers will be provided in all public areas for visitor use. 
  6. In-person appointments are still available.  In order to assist in following social distancing guidelines, we will continue offering appointments for office visits for loan closings, new account openings, etc.

If you are infected with COVID-19 or are symptomatic, we ask that you conduct your transaction(s) using an ATM, drive-thru window, or online banking.

As a result of the issues brought upon us due to COVID-19, Congress has enacted a second round of economic relief payments to assist those struggling as a result of the pandemic.

Temporary Sterling West Branch Closure

We’ve just been notified that a Sterling West branch employee received the unfortunate news indicating a positive COVID-19 case.

Due to this news, effective 3:00PM today, we will be closing our Sterling West branch drive thru services (located at 201 W. 3rd St. Sterling IL 61081) to undergo a deep cleaning. Drive thru services will resume with normal hours tomorrow, Dec. 4, 2020.

No customer interactions have taken place.

COVID-19 Update

Throughout this whole process, we’ve made every effort to ensure the health and safety of both our employees and customers. We understand the heightened level of concern related to the spread of COVID-19 and we recognize that this may be an unsettling time for everyone.

As the safety of our customers and employees remains our top priority, we’ve greatly taken into consideration the latest reports and updates regarding COVID-19. Sauk Valley Bank has made the decision to work towards safeguarding the health and well-being of our customers, employees and their families. Just moments ago, we unfortunately received news indicating a positive COVID-19 case out of our Rock Falls branch.

That being said, we will be Temporarily Closing our Rock Falls branch Lobby, located at 904 1st Ave. Rock Falls IL 61071, effective immediately, for our entire facility to undergo a deep cleaning by hired professionals. Due to minimal contact and thorough cleaning, our Drive-Thru Services Will Remain Open. 

Based on the nature of this employee’s position, we can confirm that no direct contact with customers has occurred.

We’ve been made aware that a Sterling West branch employee received the unfortunate news indicating a positive COVID-19 case.

Based on the opportunity to deep clean the facility over our long weekend, our drive-thru services are able to reopen as normal tomorrow, Tuesday Oct. 13, 2020.

However, our Sterling West branch lobby located at 201 W. 3rd St. Sterling IL 61081, will be temporarily closed, effective immediately—reopening Thursday Oct. 22, 2020.

Based on the nature of the employee’s position we have identified limited interactions with outside persons on the affected days and have already notified the relevant contact(s) regarding this case.

Sadly, when it rains, it pours. We’ve just been notified of a positive COVID-19 case out of our Sterling East branch. Though based on the nature of this employee’s position we are able to confirm that there has not been any direct contact with customers and they’ve had limited interactions inside the building, we still feel it is important to temporarily close down our lobby and drive-thru for a few days in order for our facility to undergo a deep cleaning.

Effective immediately, we will be temporarily closing our Sterling East branch lobby and suspending drive-thru services, located at 3319 E. Lincolnway Sterling IL 61081, in order to allow for our entire facility to undergo a deep cleaning by hired professionals.

If this is a facility you typically use, please be aware that:
Our drive-thru service will resume operation: Monday September 28, 2020.
Our lobby will reopen: Monday September 28, 2020.

Until then, here are two alternate branches for your use.

That being said, we will be temporarily closing our Sterling North branch lobby and suspending drive-thru services, located at 2403 North Locust St. Sterling IL 61081, effective immediately in order to allow for our entire facility to undergo a deep cleaning by hired professionals.

Our drive-thru service will resume operation: Saturday September 26, 2020.
Our lobby will reopen: Thursday October 8, 2020.

Just moments ago, we received news which provided us reason to believe that there is a strong potential for a positive COVID-19 case out of our Rock Falls branch. Although this hasn’t been a confirmed positive case, we feel it is important to take immediate action to protect the health and safety of our customers and employees.

Throughout this whole process, we’ve made every effort to ensure the health and safety of both our customers and employees. That being said, out of an abundance of caution and for the health and safety of our customers, we’re not taking any chances and therefore will be temporarily closing our Rock Falls branch lobby and suspending drive-thru services, located at 904 1st Ave. Rock Falls IL 61071, effective immediately in order to allow for our entire facility to undergo a deep cleaning by hired professionals.

If this is a facility you typically use, please be aware that:
Our Rock Falls drive-thru service will resume operation: Saturday August 22, 2020.
Our Rock Falls lobby will reopen: Saturday August 29, 2020.

Lobby Update

As we continue to stay apprised of the latest reports and guidelines put out by the CDC and state and local health authorities, we are continuously updating our safety measures in order to aid in the protection of the health and well-being of all.

Updated safety measure:
As of Tuesday August 18, 2020, we will lift the restriction currently put on visitors under the age 16 for entrance into our branch lobbies. Effective today, visitors of all ages are allowed into our branch lobbies while also still being required to wear protective masks/coverings and while observing social distancing guidelines.

  • We ask that if you have had any COVID-19 related symptoms OR had close contact with OR cared for somebody with COVID-19 symptoms in the last 14 days OR if you have traveled to a known hotspot, out of the country or had close contact with somebody who has traveled to a known hotspot or out of the country in the last 14 days that you utilize our drive-thru services.

The above guidelines will be in effect from Monday July 27, 2020 until further notice.

Sauk Valley Bank Lobby Reopening

As we begin to emerge from this pandemic, we would like to thank you for your patience over the last few weeks as we worked through the statewide stay-at-home order. Over the following weeks, we are implementing new safety procedures to reopen our branch lobbies.

With the health and well-being of our customers, employees, and community top of mind, we are pleased to announce that we have determined a plan to reopen our lobbies beginning Monday, June 1, 2020, with limitations on capacity and modified hours, as we continue to follow CDC social distancing guidelines.

New hours and safety procedures beginning June 1, 2020

We’re reserving the hours between *8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Monday-Friday for our senior and high-risk customers.

Monday-Friday from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m./close and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m./close, we will be limiting the number of customers allowed into each branch lobby.

Our Solution Center will resume its standard operating hours of: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Saturday, 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

The above will take effect June 1, until further notice.

*If you do not fall into the high-risk customer group but need to visit our branch lobby during these hours, you can still schedule an appointment to visit us during this time by calling us at 815.632.4490.

    • Sterling West: 10
    • Rock Falls: 7
    • Dixon: 5
  • Hand sanitizer will be available to lobby customers.
  • We will have designated teller windows & service desks available with protective barriers in place.
  • We still encourage customers to use drive-through banking, mobile banking, online banking and ATM banking whenever possible.
  • We ask that if you have had any COVID-19 related symptoms OR had close contact with OR cared for somebody with COVID-19 symptoms in the last 14 days OR if you have traveled out of the country or had close contact with somebody who has traveled out of the country in the last 14 days that you utilize our drive-thru services.
