How We Help the Community
We understand that a bank is an integral part of the community, and investing in our communities enriches us all. That is why we have developed an Employee Volunteer Program called, Be Great, Donate 8. This program doesn’t just tell our employees volunteering is important, we compensate the first 8 hours of their donated time.
Be Great, Donate 8 helps to address the critical need for volunteers, every day, every week, every year. These needs typically come during the hours that employees would be at work. Our program meets the volunteer shortage by encouraging our employees to volunteer those 8 hours that they would normally be at work.
This program also allows the employee to volunteer at an organization of their choice, or we can provide resources and upcoming opportunities that employees can choose. Each year, the employee is given 8 hours to donate all at one time, or split throughout the year.
Sauk Valley Bank proudly supports numerous charities and civic organizations within the communities we serve. In addition to financial contributions given back to the community, our employees take pride in giving back with their countless volunteer hours.
Examples of volunteerism by our employees include participating in local service organizations and clubs, donating blood, teaching financial literacy, and serving on the boards of directors and committees at many area schools, hospitals, community groups, and other organizations.
We love to hear of new opportunities, are you looking for volunteers? Please fill out the form below and we will contact you.
