BUSINESS BANKING: AGRICULTURAL LENDING
Agricultural Lending – Sauk Valley Bank
Sauk Valley Bank has its roots in agricultural lending. Our branches are located in agricultural communities. Our Ag Lending team has over 70 years of combined banking experience, as well as backgrounds from production agriculture, which helps us understand the needs of those in our community whose livelihood depends on agriculture.
Sauk Valley Bank offers tailor-made loans for your ag operation. We work to get to know your farm business and how we can best be of assistance in reaching your goals. Loans can be made for purchase of farm ground, equipment, irrigators, livestock, seed, fertilizer or other expenses. We also provide loans for improving existing assets, or refinancing existing debt. Our broad line of loan products includes:
• An Agricultural Operating Line of Credit from Sauk Valley Bank provides a funding source for short-term cash flow needs. When business opportunities arise, an operating line of credit enables you to take advantage of those opportunities. Seasonal cash flow needs such as an inventory stock-up for busy seasons of the year can also be met. The Sauk Valley Bank operating line of credit is pre-approved and available whenever you need it.
• Sauk Valley Bank Agricultural Term Loans are designed to meet the long-term needs of a business. Equipment financing, the acquisition of a new business, or a change in ownership are examples of term loan purchases. The term of the loan is typically one to five years and payments are easy to budget. The loans are generally secured by the assets that are being financed.
• At Sauk Valley Bank, we offer a variety of short-term and longer-term Agricultural Real Estate Loans to meet our business customer’s real estate objectives. If you are planning on purchasing land, a new building for your operation or refinancing an existing loan, come in and talk to us about your options.
• Sauk Valley Bank also works with Farm Service Agency and Illinois Finance Authority to provide numerous Government Guaranteed Loans, which can be used to help young farmers who are starting out in their careers, as well as restructuring debt for existing operations. These loans typically qualify for lower interest rates and have more flexible repayment terms.
Please contact any of our Ag Lending team for an appointment to discuss your operation’s needs and how Sauk Valley Bank may help you achieve your goals.
